Butterfly Dream
This is a media architecture video experienced from the perspective of a butterfly, navigating through a surreal corridor of continuously shifting colors and patterns. The conceptual inspiration was drawn from the Chinese philosophical story Zhuangzi’s Butterfly Dream, which questions the boundaries between subject and object, reality and illusion. This narrative was further connected to posthumanist thinking, emphasizing a decentered human perspective and a non-anthropocentric mode of spatial experience.

The project was developed and rendered in Unity. Shader Graph was used extensively to create dynamic surface effects and continuously changing color patterns, while Cinemachine was employed to choreograph camera movement and simulate a smooth, embodied traversal through the corridor.
